Privacy Policy

Who we are

FincWin is a personal money-management app, published by Lead Strategy Canada Inc, a company registered in Canada. Lead Strategy Canada Inc is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Lead Strategy Canada Inc.

FincWin records and calculates. It is not a bank, lender, broker or financial adviser. It holds no money and does not connect to your bank.

Where your data is stored

FincWin is account-based. When you sign in, the records you add — income, expenses, budgets, loan details, savings goals and the settings that go with them — are stored in our database, in your account. They are not held only on your phone.

Our database is hosted for us by Supabase in the United States (us-west-2 region, Oregon). This means your data is stored outside Canada and is subject to the laws of the United States. Each household’s records are kept isolated from every other household’s.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and display name. Used to create and run your account, send your licence key and account emails, and reply to support requests.
• Your financial records — the income, expenses, budgets, loans, savings goals and notes you enter or import. Used to provide FincWin to you: to store your records and show you the figures FincWin calculates from them.
• Licence key — the key you purchase and the devices that have activated it, so you can manage your device limit.
• Purchase record — Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor, records your transaction. We receive a confirmation with your email address and the plan you purchased.
• Website analytics, with consent only — if you accept analytics cookies on fincwin.com, Google Analytics records how the site’s pages are used. It stays off until you consent.

What we don’t collect or do

• We never ask for your bank login details, and FincWin does not connect to your bank.
• We never see or store your card details — Lemon Squeezy handles payment.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
• We do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts.

Third-party services

Supabase hosts our database, where your account and records are stored (United States, us-west-2).

Lemon Squeezy processes all payments. When you purchase a FincWin licence, you use Lemon Squeezy’s checkout, and their privacy policy applies to that transaction.

Google Firebase handles sign-in and password resets for the FincWin web app. Resend delivers account emails, such as password-reset messages, from noreply@fincwin.com.

Google Fonts loads our typefaces. When your browser requests fonts, Google receives a standard request log. Google Analytics runs on fincwin.com only if you consent to analytics cookies.

Google Drive (optional, Pro and Lifetime only) — if you turn on Drive backup, a backup copy of your data is written to your own Google Drive account. FincWin can write only to its own backup file, and you can revoke that permission at any time in your Google Account settings.

OpenAI or Anthropic (optional) — if you use the AI Coach with your own API key, the questions you ask and the figures included with them are sent to the provider you chose, under your own account with that provider.

Your rights and choices

• Export — download all your financial data as a JSON or CSV file at any time from within FincWin.
• Permanent deletion — delete your data at any time. You can also email us and we will delete your account and all associated records from our systems within 7 days.
• Access — email us and we will tell you exactly what we hold about you.
• Correction — if any of your account details are wrong, contact us and we will update them.
