Privacy Policy

Overview

FincWin is a personal finance app that runs entirely in your browser. All budget data, expense records, loan details, and savings goals are stored in your device's localStorage — local to your browser, local to your machine.

We designed it this way on purpose. Your financial life is private. We didn't want access to it, and we made sure we don't have it.

What we collect

We collect the minimum possible to operate the service:

• Email address — only if you create an optional FincWin account. Used to send your licence key and respond to support requests. Nothing else.
• Licence key — we store the key you purchase and record which devices have activated it, so you can manage your device limit.
• Purchase record — Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor) records your transaction. We receive a confirmation with your email and the plan you purchased.

That is the complete list. We do not collect analytics, behavioural data, or any financial information.

What we don't collect

To be explicit about what we do not see, store, or transmit:

• Your income, salary, or revenue figures
• Your expenses, spending habits, or purchase history
• Your loan balances, interest rates, or payoff dates
• Your savings goals or savings balances
• Your budget categories or envelope amounts
• IP addresses or device fingerprints (beyond what your browser sends in standard HTTP headers)
• Cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for licence validation
• Any third-party advertising or tracking scripts

Third-party services

Lemon Squeezy processes all payments. When you purchase a FincWin licence, you interact with Lemon Squeezy's checkout. Their privacy policy applies to that transaction. We do not store your card details — Lemon Squeezy does, encrypted and under their terms.

Google Fonts is used to load our typefaces. When your browser requests fonts, Google receives a standard request log. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Google Drive (optional, Pro and Lifetime only) — if you enable Drive backup, your encrypted data is sent directly from your browser to your own Google Drive account. We do not act as an intermediary. You grant permission to FincWin to write to a specific Drive folder, and you can revoke that permission at any time through your Google Account settings.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing about you, exercising your rights is straightforward:

• Access — email us and we'll tell you exactly what we hold (typically: your email address, licence key, and activation record).
• Deletion — request deletion and we'll remove your account and all associated records from our systems within 7 days. Your app data, stored locally, is under your own control — clear your browser storage to delete it.
• Portability — FincWin's export feature lets you download all your financial data as a JSON or CSV file at any time. It's yours.
• Correction — if your account email is wrong, contact us and we'll update it.
